For a while now, there have been three words playing on my mind. As I go about my day-to-day activities, I always find these words lingering in my mind and they've started to affect my outlook on my life, the way I handle myself and the way I handle situations.
The more time I spend thinking about these words, the more I hope they reflect the woman I am and the woman I am working on becoming. Every day I hope to be intentional about the way I live my life; the way I treat myself, the way I treat others, the way I communicate, and the way I experience life. I want to do it all, to the best of my ability, with pure and good intentions.
As I work on intentionally living life phenomenally, I believe these three words will help me on my journey of faith, in my lifestyle and in my personal development.
The three G's:
grace, growth & gratitude
Grace
One of the best places to find the beauty of grace is in God's word. I'd encourage you to spend some time understanding this word by reading God's word. You could do a quiet time on it and see for yourself all the ways God has extended His grace to us.
Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
2 Peter 1:2
I am a big advocate of affirmations and using your mouth to declare positive things over yourself and your life.
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits".
Proverbs 18:21
Here are some of my "grace, growth, and gratitude" affirmations. These words may not be for you personally, but I'd suggest taking some time to find a few words that resonate with you and add some affirmations to encourage you daily for the way you want to live your life. Go one step further and add scripture to your affirmations. Use God's word and His promises to confirm your affirmations.
grace, growth & gratitude -
the words I intend to help me live my life phenomenally
Grace: The freely, unmerited favour and divine assistance from God.
God's grace will cover me.
I will be gracious in my words and actions.
I will be kind and loving by nature.
I will be patient and forgiving.
The freely given, unmerited favour and divine assistance of God is mine.
The influence and spirit of God is operating in me.
God's love and mercy covers me.
I pray for more grace in my life.
I pray to be a person filled with grace and a person that extends grace to others.
My cup is overflowing with grace.
“And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.” -- 2 Corinthians 9:8
"Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given." John 1:16
"Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Hebrews 4:16
Growth: an act or process of development; gradual increase
I am growing every day.
I will not limit myself.
I can get better at anything I put my mind to.
I can do better and work on being a better, healthier person every day.
My growth is unlimited.
I am not placing any limits on my ability to grow or my ability to achieve the things I want in life.
My potential to succeed is limitless.
I have the capacity to exceed every expectation of myself.
I will experience growth in every area of my life.
I will reach higher ground.
I will rise above the challenges before me.
Everything I experience is either a lesson or a blessing.
My faith is growing every day.
"And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men." Luke 2:52
"The Child continued to grow and become strong, increasing in wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him." Luke 2:40
"I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So, then, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth." 1 Corinthians 3:6 -7
Gratitude: the state of being grateful; thankfulness
I am a grateful child, friend, daughter, and human being in life.
I am grateful for every opportunity I have to live life phenomenally.
I am grateful for where I am in life today.
I am grateful - for the big things, the little things, and everything in between.
I am saying thank you in advance for the good things that are on their way to me.
There will be tough days, but I choose to find reasons to be grateful for my life.
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:18
"This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24
"For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God. So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day." 2 Corinthians 4:15-16
Sending love and positivity your way
